1. Information we handle
- Account and contact information, such as names, email addresses and phone numbers.
- Pickup and delivery addresses, landmarks, parcel details, delivery instructions and order history.
- Rider location updates used for dispatch and live delivery tracking, and proof-of-delivery information where collected.
- Rider onboarding documents, identification and signatures submitted for verification.
- Payment amounts, references, transaction status, wallet records and business payment records.
- Feedback, support messages and technical information needed to operate and protect the website.
2. Why we use it
We use information to manage accounts, arrange and complete deliveries, assign riders, show relevant tracking updates, verify riders, keep payment and business records, resolve complaints and protect against misuse. Notifications may be sent by SMS, WhatsApp or browser push where relevant and enabled. Marketing use, where offered, must respect your preferences and applicable law.
3. Sharing for a delivery
Relevant contact and route details are shared with the assigned rider, dispatch staff, the sender or recipient, and participating merchants or delivery partners where necessary for that order. We use service providers for hosting, maps, communications and payments. We do not make rider verification documents public.
Anyone with a tracking link may be able to view the delivery information made available through that link, including status and rider location when live tracking is active. Share links only with people who need them.
4. Payment information
When an enabled online payment is made, Paystack processes the checkout information under its own privacy terms. SBG uses the payment reference, amount and verification result to reconcile the relevant payment. Do not send a card PIN, mobile-money PIN, password or one-time code to SBG staff. Online rider payments remain paused pending provider verification.
5. Cookies, storage and permissions
The website uses browser storage and session information for sign-in, shopping-cart contents, preferences and installed-app behaviour. Location and notification permissions are requested where needed; you can change them in your browser or phone settings. Disabling necessary storage or permissions may limit related features. Opening WhatsApp or an external map takes you to a service with its own privacy practices.
6. Security, retention and processing location
We use access controls to restrict account, delivery and verification information to relevant users and staff. No online system can guarantee absolute security. We retain records for as long as needed for delivery, accounting, fraud prevention, complaint handling and applicable legal obligations, then delete or de-identify them where appropriate.
Our service providers may process information outside Ghana. Where applicable, appropriate safeguards and the requirements of Ghana’s Data Protection Act, 2012 (Act 843) apply to processing and transfers.
7. Your choices and requests
Contact sentbygodcourierhub@gmail.com to request access to or correction of your information, ask about deletion or object to a use of your information. We may need to verify your identity, and legal or accounting obligations may prevent immediate deletion of some records. You can withdraw optional browser permissions at any time. If a privacy concern remains unresolved, you may contact Ghana’s Data Protection Commission.
